Movie: “Champions”

Orchestra Hall enjoys the distinction of being the only movie theater on the Marblehead Peninsula as well as in all of Ottawa County. Enjoy watching new and classic films in this historic theater.

Orchestra Hall will feature the movie “Champions” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 and Saturday, Sept. 9. This movie is free of charge, but Lakeside Chautauqua values donations to support these types of extended season programs.

“Champions” is a 2023 sports comedy-drama film remake of the 2018 Spanish film of the same name. It stars Woody Harrelson as Marcus Marakovich, a temperamental minor-league basketball coach who after an arrest must coach a team of players with intellectual disabilities as community service. Kaitlin Olson, Ernie Hudson and Cheech Marin also star in the film. (PG-13, 2h 4m)
