Movie: “The Boys in the Boat”
Orchestra Hall enjoys the distinction of being the only movie theater on the Marblehead Peninsula and Ottawa County. It is a historic theater to watch new and classic films.
Lakeside will feature the movie “The Boys in the Boat” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18. The movie is free, but Lakeside Chautauqua values donations to support these types of programs.
“The Boys in the Boat” is a 2023 biographical sports drama film. The 1930s-set story is centered on the University of Washington’s rowing team, from their Depression-era beginnings to winning gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. “The Boys in the Boat” is directed by George Clooney and stars Joel Edgerton, Callum Turner and Peter Guinness.
