New Horizons Band of Summit & Stark Counties

Members of the New Horizons International Music Association (NHIMA) of Summit & Stark Counties will perform a special concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17 in Hoover Auditorium. Perfect for the whole family to enjoy, the show features a wide variety of musical selections including anthems, classical music, standards, Disney favorites and more. No admission or parking fees are required for the concert, but donations are welcome.

The group’s mission is to “provide life enrichment through embracing music” with the goal of having fun. It’s a local chapter of the NHIMA, a nationwide organization consisting of many New Horizons bands, orchestras and other ensembles.

The group is comprised of people who love music. Some of whom had never played a musical instrument before joining New Horizons. Some had not played for many years, and some were already musicians.
