Northern Cincinnati Youth Orchestra

The Northern Cincinnati Youth Orchestra (NCYO) will perform at the Steele Memorial Bandstand Saturday, July 9 at 4 p.m.

NCYO was founded in 2009 with 17 string players. It has since grown to around 20 players in three levels of orchestras with students in grades kindergarten through high school. NCYO is under the direction of Marva Rasmussen.

The orchestra has competed in the National Orchestra Festival in Tampa, the Summa Cum Laude International Music Festival in Vienna, Austria, and Music in the Parks Festivals in Cincinnati, Gatlinburg and at Cedar Point. Their last performance in Lakeside was in May 2017.
