W.O.W. Sailing: Level 2 (Intermediate)
W.O.W. Sailing Class: Level 2 (Intermediate)
August 8-12, 2022 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Sailing Center
The goal of the Women on Water (W.O.W.) Level 2 (Intermediate) class is to obtain experience and confidence on a very sea-worthy sloop (18’ Typhoon) in open water and do so with full command of the sailboat. To take the Level 2 class, students should already have the basic skills from Level I (Beginner), either through passing the Level 1 class, Level 1 Refresher Course: Crew to Skipper, or through commensurate sailing experience. Upon successful completion of the W.O.W. Level 2 class and exam, you will be considered a Skipper 2.
Classes are instructed by Celeste Cook Williams, a U.S. Coast Guard Near Coastal Master Captain, sailing teacher veteran, and co-founder of the Lakeside Sailing Center. Classes are certified by the U.S. Sailing Association.
Registration: Cost is $110 for the week. Please complete the preliminary intake form. Contact the Waterfront Rental Center at infocenter@lakesideohio.com or (419) 798-4461, ext. 266 to register. Early registration is recommended due to limited class size.
Check the website Waterfront Activities section for more information on all sailing classes.
The event is finished.
