Back by popular demand, OPUS 216 returns to Lakeside for an engaging pre-concert event at 2-3 p.m. at Coffee & Cream and an unforgettable evening of music at 7:30 p.m. in Hoover Auditorium. Known for pushing musical boundaries, this dynamic ensemble seamlessly blends classical favorites with French café jazz, pop, Top 40 hits, hip hop and original compositions for a concert experience that is both sophisticated and entertaining.
Founded in 2012 by violinist Ariel Clayton Karas, OPUS 216 has become one of Northeast Ohio’s most sought-after ensembles, performing at renowned venues and events including the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Progressive Field, Holden Arboretum, Cleveland Cavaliers games and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The musicians trained at world-class conservatories such as the Cleveland Institute of Music, Manhattan School of Music and Juilliard. In addition to their work with OPUS 216, members regularly perform with the Chicago Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra and Atlanta Symphony.
