Experience the magic of classic cinema as renowned organist Clark Wilson returns to Hoover Auditorium on Tuesdays — June 30, July 14 and Aug. 11 — to accompany the screening of silent films. The Silent Movie Night Series is supported by Peter & Debbie Stephens.
Widely regarded as one of America’s foremost silent film accompanists, Wilson performs exclusively on the organ, creating historically authentic scores in the tradition of the golden age of silent film. His masterful improvisations bring classic films vividly to life, just as audiences would have experienced them a century ago.
Since launching his scoring career in 1980, Wilson has toured extensively throughout North America, presenting hundreds of screenings at universities, performing arts centers, theaters, film festivals and conventions.
His distinguished career includes invitations to perform for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Society.
