Calling all tails, fins and feathers — the Lakeside Pet Parade is back!
Lakesiders and their pet pals are invited to gather on the Bettinger Park Cannon Lawn before parading through the park and ending at the Steele Memorial Bandstand. There, pets can showcase their favorite tricks, fanciest costumes and unique personalities. Awards will be presented in the following categories:
· Biggest Pet
· Smallest Pet
· Lakeside Spirit
· Best Costume
· Best Trick
· Pet Human Look-Alike
· Most Patriotic Pet
· Judge’s Choice
This year’s grand marshal is Kalahan, Danbury Township Police Department’s K9, who will be escorted by an officer.
Pre-registration is not required. Participants should arrive at the Cannon Lawn by 8:45 am. Please note that this event may not be the right fit for every pet. Whether you’re participating with a pet or simply coming to watch, all are welcome to enjoy the parade and festivities.
