Crowder

Contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Crowder takes the Hoover Auditorium stage for an inspiring concert Saturday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. Lakeside is expecting a large crowd for this concert, please review the concert information below.

Over 3 million records sold, and three Grammy Nominations highlight Crowder’s career. His first solo album, Neon Steeple, debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, was named iTunes 2014 Christian Album of the Year, garnered multiple radio hits, a Grammy nomination for “Come as You Are,” a Grand Ole Opry debut, a Dove Award and numerous K-LOVE Fan Award Nominations.

American Prodigal, the Grammy-nominated follow-up album released in 2016, landed at No. 1 on the Christian & Gospel Album Chart, No. 3 on the Digital Albums Chart, No. 5 on the Top Albums Billboard Chart and No. 12 on the Top 200 Billboard Chart.

The song “All My Hope” brought Crowder a No. 1 radio single, in addition to two Top 10 singles prior to that from American Prodigal. His third project, I Know A Ghost, hit No. 1 yet again on the Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart and earned his third Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Album.

His latest album, Milk & Honey, has already shown an immediate connection with the first smash single “Good God Almighty,” which hit No. 1 at Christian radio and No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart, a first for Crowder. Milk & Honey, born out of the 2020 lockdown, is a celebration of the hope that God’s promise remains true.

Before Crowder’s performance, enjoy the music of Christian Paul. He’s inspired by the poetry of old hymns as much as he’s influenced by the elements of rhythm and blues. Blazing a trail few have traveled, he doesn’t fit the typical mold. Perhaps that’s what makes him such a compelling new act.

Whether he’s writing about his relationship with God, a breakup or the surprising cards life has dealt him, Paul wants his music to sound something like the calm after the storm. Personal, spiritual and artistic growth might require a lifetime, but for now, he is opening a new, more mature chapter of his story that reveals a soulful singer, multi-instrumentalist and skilled lyricist hitting his stride and discovering his own voice.

The music he’s making is a mix of the R&B he was raised on, the pop excellence he once aspired to and the faith he’s deciphering.
