Ted Yoder Band
The Ted Yoder Band returns to Lakeside for an entertaining show at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 30 at the Steele Memorial Bandstand.
Yoder is the barefoot “Bela Fleck of the hammered dulcimer.” His music rocketed around the world in 2016 when his instrumental version of “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” went viral with over 100 million views.
At the age of 35, Yoder took the leap into a music career. Since then, he has won the title of 2010 National Hammered Dulcimer Champion, opened for Jake Shimabukuro, been featured on NPR radio and “Drive Time” on WGN in Chicago, and had a No. 1 new release ranking on Amazon.
He’s released 10 albums and performed in 40 states.
