Jazz Singers Vocal Workshop

As part of Chautauqua Jazz Week Experience, join Evelyn Wright and Michael Shirtz for a workshop and master class on singing jazz and American Pop music Thursday, June 16 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at Orchestra Hall. open to singers of all levels. Learn how to use the lyrics, melodies, and harmony to interpret your vocal performance. Singers attending workshop are encouraged to have a prepared vocal selection to be asked to sing during the masterclass session.

Registered participants are encouraged to attend the Chautauqua Lecture: The Voices of Jazz with Evelyn Wright and Michael Shirtz on Thursday, June 15, 10:30 a.m. in Orchestra Hall as part of their vocal workshop experience. Ending the day is the special 7:30 p.m. Ohio Jazz All-Star Concert at Hoover Auditorium.

Registration begins May 1.

Workshop fee: $35 ($20 for those with a Chautauqua Season Pass)
