Lakeside Sailing Regatta

The 48th Annual Lakeside Sailing Regatta, hosted by Lakeside and supported by the Society of Old Salts (S.O.S.), will take place July 26-27 at the waterfront, weather permitting.

Both novice and experienced sailors will gather to compete in four classes: Junior Sunfish, Senior Sunfish, Double-Handed Sunfish and Single-Handed Laser Races.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Lakeside Sailing Center. On Saturday, July 26, the Junior Sunfish Race, which is for sailors ages 15 and under, begins at 9 a.m. The Senior Sunfish & Laser Races begin at 11:30 a.m. The Double-Handed Sunfish Race begins at 2 p.m. The times for the Sunday races will be announced at the time of the Regatta.

An Awards Ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 27 on Pavilion West Deck. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. The winners of the Regatta, the August Cup Sailing Race and the Mouse Island Challenge will be awarded. Photos of the winners will be taken during the ceremony, and a group photo will be taken afterward.
