New in 2025, Lakeside Chautauqua is excited to launch ‘Learning Journeys,’ a unique opportunity to travel internationally and domestically with Lakesiders and new friends while sharing in fellowship.
Planning a Learning Journey is easy whether you’re craving an immersive experience in a faraway country or interested in introducing your church group to Lakeside Chautauqua. Once you’ve chosen your destination, your travel, meals and lodging will be thoughtfully planned by our team so you can focus on discovery, connection and making memories.
We promise that you’ll come home feeling connected to a community and excited to discover more of the world.
Our first Learning Journey will be international – an extraordinary land tour of Greece, tracing the footsteps of Apostle Paul and his disciples, from Oct. 12-21, 2025.
We’re partnering with our sister Chautauqua, Bay View Association in Michigan, to create a trip for lifelong learners seeking to deepen their spiritual and cultural understanding of Paul’s journey. This 10-day tour is open to all, with explorations of Neapoli, Philippi, Corinth and Athens.
This Learning Journey to Lakeside, Ohio, is designed for you to share their favorite haven with friends and for groups – like retirees, churches, schools and senior living communities – to plan enriching experiences through bundled packages.
Tucked away on the Marblehead Peninsula, just one hour west of Cleveland, this hidden gem on Lake Erie is the perfect destination for a week-long vacation, weekend getaway or day trip. As a Chautauqua community, Lakeside offers experiences to nurture mind, body, and spirit through religious, educational, cultural, and recreation opportunities.
Within the one-square-mile community, you’ll find hundreds of unique Victoria cottages, a concert hall, an arts center, a historic waterfront hotel, a movie theater, pool, splash park, playgrounds, shuffleboard, tennis, pickleball, sailing, mini golf, shopping, dining and much more.
Lakeside’s mission is to enrich the quality of life for all people, to foster traditional Christian values and to nurture relationships through opportunities for renewal and growth…spiritual, intellectual, cultural and physical…while preserving Lakeside’s heritage.
