Join us on July 3 at 2 p.m. on the Pavilion West Deck for our Science Rocks! Series: “NASA Terra Rover and AREN Project: Exploring Surface and Air Temperature” This program is geared for children ages 6-12.
Do you think NASA Rovers on the moon are cool?! Have you ever noticed that the temperature seems to change depending on the surface you are walking on or where you are outside on a summer day? In today’s session, we will use a NASA Terra Rover, handheld infrared thermometers, and a variety of other tools to examine the relationship between surface and air temperature while exploring a phenomenon known as the Urban Heat Island Effect!
The event is finished.
