Art Class: Zentangle Charger

For Sweetest Day weekend, Lakeside Chautauqua and Art Dock are collaborating to offer a variety of art experiences to learn and create, either solo, as a couple or with friends and family. During your Lakeside visit, enjoy a stroll along the waterfront to see the changing colors, explore Lakeside’s shops and restaurants, play tennis or pickleball (bring your own equipment), and catch the film “Sleepless in Seattle” in Orchestra Hall over the weekend. After the summer season, admission to Lakeside Chautauqua is free.

Zentangle Charger
Show off your own personal style by creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake masterpiece with artist David Wolff from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 in the Pavilion Upper Room. Work on a large metallic finished charger plate, dividing space into interesting and unique shapes. Next, explore contrasting patterns and textures that will fill those spaces using permanent ink. You’ll enjoy a relaxing “Zen” experience as you make your decorative or functional charger plate. All materials will be provided. The cost is $36 per person. Register through Art Dock. 

About the instructor: Wolff earned a Bachelor of Art Education from Ohio State University and retired from teaching high school art at Edison High School. He serves as a Northeast Ohio Art Education Association Officer and is President of the Firelands Area Art League. Wolff was recognized as the Northeast Ohio Art Education Association Outstanding Art Teacher in 2012.
