Fourth of July Parade

Lakeside’s Fourth of July celebration begins at 10 a.m. with our popular Children’s Bike Parade departing from Perry Park. Participants of all ages should arrive early along the lakefront path near Perry Park with an already-decorated bike.

In advance of the Children’s Bike Parade, we encourage families to designate a place for children to find their families after they’ve finished passing through the parade. The parade ends at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Second Street, but families typically meet their children on Third Street between Oak and Maple Avenues following the parade.

Immediately following the Bike Parade will be Lakeside’s unique Fourth of July Parade with decorated golf carts, antique cars, and floats. This year’s parade will be one of the largest in Lakeside’s recent history!

The Honorary Grand Marshal, Lakesider Carolyn McDaniels, will lead the main parade from Fourth Street down Harsh Road and precede west down Second Street ending at Maple Avenue. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be cancelled.

Registration: To register a float in the parade, complete the registration form and return it to the Lakeside Administration Office, located at 236 Walnut Ave., by 12 p.m. Thursday, June 30.

Please note: Lakeside Chautauqua reserves the right to review the content of all parade entries. Floats containing political content or offensive subject matter will not be permitted to participate in the parade. Please honor this requirement to enable Lakeside to present a family parade suitable for all ages.

The event is finished.
