Fourth of July Schedule of Events

Individuals, children and families will gather in Lakeside Chautauqua this weekend for an exciting lineup of Fourth of July festivities. An annual family tradition for many, it is one of our most popular weeks in Lakeside with lively music, parades, cookout, fireworks, and more.

Children’s Bike Parade & Float Parade

Children’s Bike Parade
10 a.m., Second Street
Lakeside’s Fourth of July celebration begins at 10 a.m. with our popular Children’s Bike Parade departing from Perry Park. Participants of all ages should arrive early along the lakefront path near Perry Park with an already-decorated bike.

In advance of the Children’s Bike Parade, we encourage families to designate a place for children to find their families after they’ve finished passing through the parade. Typically, families meet their children on Third Street between Oak and Maple Avenues. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be cancelled.

Fourth of July Float Parade
10:15 a.m., Second Street

Immediately following the Children’s Bike Parade will be Lakeside’s unique Fourth of July Parade with decorated golf carts, antique cars, and floats. This year’s parade will be one of the largest in Lakeside’s recent history!

The Honorary Grand Marshal, Lakesider Carolyn McDaniel, and special guest Marky Beatty will lead the main parade from Fourth Street down Harsh Road and precede west down Second Street ending at Maple Avenue. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be cancelled.
