Jim Tressel Keynote Reception & Tailgate

Join us for a tailgate party honoring former Ohio State University and Youngstown State University football coach, Jim Tressel before his keynote presentation in Hoover Auditorium on Thursday, August 3. The reception will start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 6:45 p.m. Meet Tressel and enjoy a Buckeye tailgate celebration before heading to Hoover to hear him speak.
A native of Northeast Ohio, Tressel coached at Youngstown State University for 15 years and at Ohio State University for 10 years. In his time at YSU he appeared in the playoffs 10 times and won four national championships. At OSU, he guided the Buckeyes to the 2002 National Championship and seven Big Ten Championships. Tressel was inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015 and into the YSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013. In 2015, he was enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame.
Tressel has published two books, has given hundreds of presentations and lectures across the country, and has had extensive involvement in fundraising and philanthropy, including the recent $1 million gift to create the Jim and Ellen Tressel Student Work Opportunity Endowment Fund at YSU.

Tickets are $50 a person before July 1 and $65 after. All proceeds support Lakeside’s Education Endowment. Only a limited number of tickets are available so purchase yours before they’re gone! Please list the names of the attendees in the comment section when purchasing your tickets.
