LHS: Up Close with David Glick – 92 Years of Lakeside Memories
As part of the Lakeside Heritage Society (LHS) Sunday Seminar series, join us on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 1:30 p.m. for “Up Close with David Glick: 92 Years of Lakeside Memories,” showing footage of his September 2021 interview.
Glick is a treasure trove of stories based on his 92 summers in Lakeside. He began collecting newspaper clippings in his youth and his accumulated documents about Lakeside formed a major portion of the LHS Archives when the organization was formed in 1968.
He has written over 90 entries for the history feature in the LHS newsletter, given 10 lectures in the last 10 years, and led countless tours on these grounds. No other single person has such a extensive “lived history” of Lakeside.
In September 2021, Glick agreed to be videotaped as he reminisced about Lakeside in conversation with Gretchen Curtis. Come to hear what he said.
