Movie: “Guarding Tess”

Orchestra Hall enjoys the distinction of being the only movie theater on the Marblehead Peninsula and Ottawa County. It is a historic theater to watch new and classic films.

Lakeside will feature the movie “Guarding Tess” at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11. The movie is free, but Lakeside Chautauqua values donations to support these types of programs.

“Guarding Tess” is a 1994 American comedy-drama film. It’s about a former U.S. First Lady who wants a particular Secret Service agent to head her bodyguard detail, even though he can’t stand her. Shirley MacLaine and Nicholas Cage star in this comic, compassionate look at life after the White House for two former Washington insiders: First Lady Tess Carlisle and Secret Service Agent Doug Chesnic.
