Movie: “Oz the Great and Powerful”

Orchestra Hall enjoys the distinction of being the only movie theater on the Marblehead Peninsula and Ottawa County. It is a historic theater to watch new and classic films.

Lakeside will feature the movie “Oz the Great and Powerful” at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21. The movie is free, but Lakeside Chautauqua values donations to support these types of programs.

A small-time magician is swept away to an enchanted land and is forced into a power struggle between three witches.

This 2013 film stars James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis and Zach Braff. (PG, 2h 10m)
