With a cast of stars from Broadway’s greatest rock musicals, as well as incredible rock & roll singers, Berg shares the often-unknown stories from the 50-year history of the music that changed the world forever.
From the progenitors of rock & roll in the 1940s, through the glory years of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, to MTV in the early ’80s, Neil Berg’s “50 Years of Rock & Roll” showcases fascinating stories and groundbreaking music, with tributes to iconic rock stars like Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Frankie Valli, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin, The Who, Simon & Garfunkel, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Journey and much more.
As a producer, Berg is the creator and co-producer, along with his producing partner Adam Friedson, of Neil Berg’s “100 Years of Broadway” and “50 Years of Rock & Roll,” which continues to be one of the top Broadway touring concerts in the country, playing over 100 shows a year for the past 16 years.
As owner of Leftfield Productions, Inc., an entertainment Company based in Nyack, New York, Berg has produced over a thousand Broadway concerts worldwide with such legends as Michael Crawford, Bernadette Peters, Ben Vereen, Audra McDonald, Betty Buckley, Rita Moreno, Donna McKechnie, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Jeremy Jordan, Norm Lewis, Liz Callaway, Alice Ripley, Stephanie Block, Capathia Jenkins and many others.
Berg is the composer for the musical version of “Grumpy Old Men: The Musical,” based on the movie starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, which premiered to rave reviews. Berg is currently in development as the composer of “My Cousin Vinny,” a new musical based on the iconic movie.
