Science Rocks!
Join us on July 24 at 2 p.m. for our Science Rocks! Series: “The Great American Solar Eclipse,” with Kelley Sommers, STEAM Instructional Coach and Director of the Sidney Frohman Planetarium at Sandusky City Schools. This program is geared for children ages 6-12.
In April of 2024 Lakeside Chautauqua will experience darkness in the middle of the afternoon for a few minutes due to the Great American Solar Eclipse. There are two solar eclipses that will be experienced in Ohio within the next several months. We will discuss the differences between partial and total solar eclipses, when and where to experience a solar eclipse and what to expect. Participants will learn how to make a pinhole projector and use it to safely view a solar eclipse.
The event is finished.
