W.O.W. Sailing Class Refresher: Level 1/Crew to Skipper 1 (Supporting the completion of W.O.W. Level 1)
June 21 or June 23, 2022 | 1-5 p.m. | Sailing Center

This newly designed one-day class for Women on Water (W.O.W.) will be a review class for Level 1 students who have been ready or nearly ready to pass W.O.W. Level 1 (Beginner). These sailors are considered as Crew. Class will consist of a one-hour recap at the Sailing Center Classroom followed by either sailing on a Sunfish, or if the weather is marginal, on an 18’ Cape Dory Typhoon sloop located at a nearby marina. Depending on weather conditions, a Crew Sailor can test out on that day or at an independently scheduled time.

Upon successful completion of W.O.W. Level 1, or this refresher course, graduates will be qualified as a Skipper 1. Each class is certified through the U.S. Sailing Association and is instructed by Celeste Cook Williams, a U.S. Coast Guard Near Coastal Master Captain, sailing teacher veteran, and co-founder of the Lakeside Sailing Center.

Prerequisite: W.O.W. Level 1 Sailing Class

Registration: This class is free. Please complete the preliminary intake form.  To register, contact the Waterfront Rental Center at infocenter@lakesideohio.com or (419) 798-4461, ext. 266. Early registration is recommended as class size is limited.
